As summer unfurls across Dubai, we’re embracing the light—literally. At JPD, our seasonal shift is subtle yet transformative, perfect for penthouses and coastal villas that crave a breath of fresh air.
The Tip: Pare Down & Let the Light In
Swap out heavy fabrics for sheer, natural textures—think gauzy linen panels instead of velvet drapes. Neutral tones like sand, stone, and ivory instantly open up the space, while diffused sunlight adds a soft glow that no artificial lighting can mimic.
Designer Insight
Summer is the perfect time to edit. Remove one or two pieces of furniture—yes, even the ones you love. The resulting negative space creates a calm, gallery-like flow, allowing each detail to breathe. Add just one seasonal accent: a sculptural white vase, a bowl of green figs, or a new ceramic lamp.

We’re loving hand-troweled limewash in pale nude tones—perfect for a feature wall or powder room update. It catches light beautifully and adds texture without drama.
